Hey so I recently fell in love with Wharton and after looking a little on this forum, I realized that many people who got into wharton had some sort of business ECs.

Unfortunately I don't have any, and I will be a senior this year. However, my school doesn't offer any ECs for those looking to do business. There's no BPA. I am in speech and debate, which is probably the closest thing to it haha.

so i was wondering if this would negatively affect me.

thanks

here’s what you do:

open a hedge fund. Get all of your family’s assets into it. In fact, have everyone in the family take out personal loans and invest those too. Get all relatives to follow suite. Hit up just about everyone you know for money.

Leverage 2x with brokerage house

Randomly generate letters until you get a ticker symbol. Sell way in-the-money puts on that one.
Randomly generate letters until you get a ticker symbol. Buy way out-of-the-money calls on that one.

If you make a killing, write about your natural talent and how you want to donate to the school.
If you lose it all, write how you became a better person by learning from business failure and what that taught you about perseverance.

^lol

OP, I have the same issue. Just this past year I really focused in on business for college (after really falling in love with AP Econ), so I don’t really have business-related experience in any way. I’ve been treasurer of a couple of groups - maybe that counts, and I’m also on the Debate team. Maybe I can talk about how AP Econ influenced me in my essay?

I’m not sure if I will ED to Wharton, but maybe I should if I want a really good chance of getting in… I’m not expecting to get in though…

Every single EC I had was related to science and engineering. You definitely don’t need to take necrophiliac’s advice, but it would be hilarious if you did. Let me know how it works out for you.
