low AP scores

Should I send in my AP scores. I didn’t do too well on the tests, but I got good grades in the class. They don’t match up. Will colleges take notice, or do they really not care? I have 4,4,3,3,2,2, a total of six scores.

It’s not required that you report AP scores at all. If you do report, you can report selectively. Certainly report the 4s and, if you are applying to less selective schools, report the 3s as well. Some schools give academic credit for a 3 which means they consider it ‘good enough.’ Others only for 4s or 5s - in which case a 3 isn’t going to mean anything to them. Leave the 2s off.

Obviously, if you are saying you want to be a bio major and your 3 is in AP bio, you should give this further thought too. But if it’s just one more subject, it won’t hurt or help.

AP scores carry little to no weight on admission. However, I think 2 could make officers raise their eyebrows.

If you have a 4.0 GPA, then the 2 2’s won’t look that great as it shows your school courses were not very rigorous, but if you’re getting B’s/C’s and 2’s it just means you aren’t that strong in a particular subject.
So yeah I guess I would send the 4’s and 3’s as the 2’s would show that your school grades easily (it could also mean that you had a bad day but multiple 2’s means that your school didn’t prepare you well enough which is not entirely your fault)

I wouldn’t send them. You could send the 3’s and 4’s that you received so that colleges will note that you’re strong in those subjects, but I wouldn’t send the 2’s. AP scores don’t really matter in college admissions.
