<p>I know ucsb has a low percentage rate of Asians compared to Caucasians, but can someone tell me how the Asians are like? Are most or them chill? Can they smoke weed and chill out? Or are they the studious types?
How are the girls? Are they trendy and fashionable and fun? Are they hot?</p>

<p>Most of the Asians I know (around 80%) are very studious and introverted and religious and hang out with other Asian people. Then there are the minority who are more sociable and party a lot. This is just from my view though; there are all different types of Asian people at UCSB.</p>

Nah, Koalass is pretty right. The majority of the Asians here are from overseas and will, naturally, only hang out with others who speak their language. Since I was born and raised in the US, I’m more whitewashed, but I still prefer to stay in my room and hang on the internet then go out and party. That being said, the majority of the friends I’ve made here are white.</p>
<p>Uhhh, most of introverted ones won’t smoke or drink with you. Every Asian family has different views on alcohol - there’s no unanimous “you can” or “you can’t” drink rule over all Asians or the “religions” the Asian’s you’ll meet will follow - so each Asian dude is different. Some will break out of their shell and get absolutely smashed with you and others, like me, won’t touch the stuff (I don’t touch it simply 'cause I’m straightedge, but I do hang out with friends who drink).</p>
<p>All in all, there’re two main groups of Asians here - introverted and extroverted. You’ll usually be able to spot which ones immediately once you start talking to them. I’m in the rare middle, where I prefer staying on the internet than going out, but I’ll be glad to hang out from time to time. There are a few of us - I’ve met about two of them.</p>
<p>The majority of the people you’ll probably hang out with will be White. Which isn’t a problem at all.</p>

<p>Man, think of some better reasons for attending university. You can smoke pot behind a McDonalds dumpster. You don’t need to take a serious student’s spot for that.</p>

<p>@StyxxNStones hey i’m coming to sbcc this spring, i’m international student (Asian) and not a whitewashed. i heard asian in sbcc is not that much (which is good cause i wanna learn english). i really wanna hangout with local people (all kind of race) will they accept me? cause i heard white people don’t really hangout with other race? </p>
