exactly!! And the majority of ivy league schools are lame, lol, like Duke, Dartsmouth, Columbia etc… boring!!! AOPS and random engineering/math colleges have awesome people, whether it’s Harvey Mudd, Amherst or a public college like Cooper Union, :D

It’s DARTMOUTH not Dartsmouth. WTH is that anyway.

Also, these don’t bother me as much, but Duke isn’t an Ivy (although it is as good) and Cooper Union is private.

you’re right on both accounts!! I always consider CU public since it functions like one being the unique college with full scholarship, but again you are right

I think it’s sort of the same way with celebrities. They’re put on this pedestal and believed to be “superior” in some way because they’re famous or rich. In reality, they are just people who happen to be incredibly well-known, wealthy, have done something great and/or are unusually pretty. :p

Ivy leaguers are the same in a way. They have this preconceived stereotype that generalizes them as socially awkward, people who never have fun, absolute geniuses or obnoxious prep kids who got accepted because their parents donated a large sum of money to the school. While some of these stereotypes may or may not be true, a lot of Ivy leaguers are people who are very intelligent, driven and have an obvious passion in life. Because of this, I wouldn’t call Ivy leaguers normal however I think the majority of people would be surprised at how “human” an Ivy leaguer can act.
