Hey guys! I started this thread to help out a family relative. He was a sophomore at university of illinois at urbana-champaign and he was kicked out of college last week due to bad grades. He had health issues that lead to a 1.7 gpa. He is looking to continue his education this fall after he resolves his issues. What are his options besides community college?
Tough to say. I think his only option is community college. However, he can attend community college for one year and then transfer out (assuming he excels at his community college).
4 year universities are unlikely to accept a 1.7 GPA student. If he does still intend to apply to some 4 year colleges, he can hopefully explain somewhere in the application his extenuating circumstances.
Bump!
