My freshman and sophomore year of highschool I didn’t study enough which was a mistake but a can’t change it now and I ended up with a 2.8 gpa. I’m really motivated to work hard and get a 4.0 next year which I will do and I will continue getting good grades senior year. I am apart of a few clubs and sports at school and am getting a job. I also will have volunteering hours. So far I have taken 2 honors classes and am taking 2 more next year. I got a really high score on my practice sat and act. If I am able to get a close to perfect score on those tests and my grades improve drastically… would there be anyway I could get into a good college? I got a few Cs both year but if I can make this change than what colleges would be possibilities? (Such as ASU, Colorado schools, etc)
From what you’ve said, it sounds like you’re quite motivated to turn your grades around, and I think you’ll have a compelling story to share with admissions. A high SAT will help at ASU, and you will probably have good chances at Colorado state schools. Your clubs and sports will go a long way towards getting you admitted as well.
Good luck!
Try your best. An upward trend is good while it brings up you cumulative GPA too.
