I'm a graduate with a BA. I was a transfer to a Jesuit school where my concentration was English/Humanities. Working FT, I will admit, I did not put as much effort into many of the other courses as they also did not pertain to my major. While finishing up there it was mandatory to take 12 credits of Theology which significantly lowered my GPA. Needless to say I am looking into going back to school in order to obtain my MA in education and gain my teaching certification. I am currently a teacher and need to be in the process of completing my certifications within a year; I fear my low GPA is going to make this difficult as the schools in my area that offer certification programs with a MA have high academic standards.
