Lowest SAT score you know that got accepted into Stanford...

Numbers aren’t everything (though whether they’re something or XYZ-ing is debatable). For what it’s worth: accepted this year with a 2090 SAT and 3.93 GPA.
NOT a URM, legacy, athlete (whatsoever), National Merit Scholar, researcher, etc. I’m just curious about the world.

This overarching curiosity about the world

and the fact that you stretched and challenged yourself beyond what most high school students would do despite growing up in a very low socioeconomic status

and amassing 110 college credits by the time you graduate from high school

along with your essays and recommendations is what made you compelling and set you apart from many others…

Yes, but can you tell us how to show that to an admissions committee? How do you put it down on paper so they can see it?

:wink:

That is the million dollar question…isn’t it? Some applicants do a much better job than others conveying this than others…

…and having read through all the threads this poster has written…I could tell he is very independently minded individual (who doesn’t allow his low socioeconomic circumstances to define or limit him) who knows exactly what he is searching for to become a physician…and unlike many teenagers…he seems to have a clearer understanding of what it takes to become one by trying to shorten/condense that path as much as it is feasibly possible in light of his family’s difficult financial circumstances…

…bravo to him!

Sounds like a lot less brainwork to just come up with a formula. And, that way, everyone has a shot at doing it. Or, so I’m told.

Like!!! :smiley: :stuck_out_tongue:
I believe coming up with the theory of relativity was much easier! :))

And I apologize to the poster by using he/him…@JustOneDad informs me that the poster is a female. Fantastic! Brava!

@StartAdventuring‌ you give me hope.
We share the same stats. I hope my essays conveyed my love of learning and exploration enough to warrant me a spot.
