What are the lowest stats you’ve seen of anybody that has applied to Northwestern University. (Stats in terms of GPA, SAT/ACT, and Extracurriculars?
I don’t see what you could possibly get out of knowing that information, but you could do a Command+F search for “3.” “2.” 6" or “5” in the many decision results threads.
Lowest accepted stats from my school (last year’s graduating class):
3.5 W GPA, 22 ACT (ED)
3.4 W GPA, 32 ACT (RD)
Was the 22 Act an athlete or urm?
@CaliCash could help you out with this
@Calicash you care to contribute?
@babybottlecop I don’t believe so - my counselor told me that person was “a really good fit for the program” he/she applied to.
@smb63097 what does “a really good fit for the program” mean? Is there a program for kids with low GPA and SAT/ACT? Maybe a non-popular major?
I had a 31 ACT, 3.4 UW GPA, 3.8 W during RD. Sometimes a student is a great fit for a program, meaning that their extracurriculars, activities, recommendations, and interests align perfectly with the program they are applying into (so I had a strong journalism background and was accepted into Medill). It doesn’t mean that there is a program for kids with low GPA or that they are applying to non-popular majors - just that they fit the archetype of what a student in that program would look like. Take a look at the webpage of the major you’re applying to and see what type of students they put the spotlight on - those are the students that fit the mold of “what that school is looking for” to a T.
