Loyola Marymount Early Decision Fall 2017

Did anyone apply ED or EA to LMU for Fall 2017? If so, what are your test scores/ GPA?

I applied EA. I have a 32 ACT and a 3.97 weighted cumulative GPA.

My daughter applied EA. She has a 26 ACT and a 4.06 weighted GPA.

im nervous bc i have a 25 ACT and 3.8

Does your school have Naviance? If so, go to Loyola’s scattergram to see how you match up. Your stats seem right in line with Loyola’s profile to me.

I do but no one from my school has applied before. I applied ED which shows interest so fingers crossed. its an amazing school

Our school shows a bunch of past applicants in Naviance and your stats are pretty much right on.

wow great to know. thanks so much i really appreciate it.

also my application doesnt say its under review or anything, does your look like that too?

it just says submitted

My daughter’s just says Application Submitted.

I applied with a 4.3 weighted/ 3.9 unweighted gpa, a 30 act (31 math, 33 English) and in top 10% of class

I applied ED to film with with a 1240 SAT and a 3.9 weighted GPA. I visited the campus multiple times and most of my community service hours were film related. My chances aren’t too great, but here’s to hoping

i know Film is really competitive. When do u think ED will find out if we got in?

I applied ED to film with a 33 ACT and a 4.1 weighted GPA. My application just says Submitted and only lists
ACT/SAT scores, Digital Portfolio, LMU Essay and transcript as being received. I know they have downloaded my app and letters of recommendation but they are not listed. Is that all you see as having been received?

I applied EA to engineering with 34 act and 4.3 weighted gpa. Are my chances good? Anyone know how good scores must be for scholarships?

My daughter’s just shows ACT/SAT Scores (with a July receipt date), LMU essay, and high school transcript, although I know they’ve also received letters of rec, much more recent ACT/SAT scores post-July, another transcript, etc. I guess they just keep it simple. It says on there that they’ll let you know if they need you to download anything additional, so if it doesn’t say that, I guess we can presume they have what they need.

Does anyone have thoughts regarding whether admission at EA is equally difficult to admission in regular decision? What are stats that could lead to deferral rather than acceptance at EA?

I applied EA. I got a 33 on the ACT and I have a 4.34 weighted cumulative GPA. Applied to mechanical engineering major and I think pre-med just to see what would happen. Good luck guys!

I applied ED and just got an email saying my status was updated at 4:20 today. I got accepted! WooHoo! Good Luck to everyone and Happy Thanksgiving!
