I have been accepted to Loyola University Maryland and Stonehill. Out of those I have chosen Loyola, however, I also predict an acceptance from CUNY Hunter College as well as the University of Connecticut. Was wondering which school is better academically and which one has more to offer?

Go to their websites and find their course catalogs, and look through the courses in depts you think you will take many courses from.

Also think about things such as Hunter being in NY, Loyola in Balt., and the other two not-in cities. That might be very important to you.

All are good schools, but I would suggest finding the school that is best for you. Academic fit is very important for your success in college. Hunter and UCONN have over 15,000 undergraduates. Loyola has some 3800 undergraduates. My son is a freshman at Loyola and five of his classes range from 12 to 17 students. His largest lecture thus far has 36 students. He is very happy at Loyola, and unlike his large high school he has been openly enthusiastic about several of his classes and professors.
Also you may want to talk to your folks about their college budget. I was very open with my son. If you are a state resident, UCONN or Hunter will have a much lower sticker cost. Graduating with a lot of debt is very tough, especially in these trying times. If you are applying for financial aid, Loyola is very committed to meeting need. Merit scholarships are available for strong students. You may qualify for a Presidential or Claver scholarship. Both are merit based and no application for financial aid is required for either of these scholarships.
Finally, I would strongly suggest visiting your top choices. My son visited each of his top choices twice, and in some cases came away with a very different impression the second time. In our case having my son miss a few days of his second semester senior year was well worth it.
Good Luck with your college decision.
