I have a 3.971 weighted GPA and am ranked 119 of 636. I didn't do very well freshman year and first semester sophomore year. However, since then I have gotten nearly 4.0s or higher every semester since then. I'm in DECA, Peer Leaders, Class Council, Key Club, Environmental Club, AVID Student Board Panel Member, Student Tutor, Junior Leader, Senior Leader, Varsity Tennis (3 years), Academic all conference (3 years), and the Sportsmanship Award Winner. I have a part-time job but it is year-round. I volunteer though key club, my church, and am about to start at an animal shelter. I am going to apply to NHS next year as a senior. My ACT score is quite low. I have a 23 composite with a 10 for writing. I have a superscore of a 24. I am planning on retaking the ACT at least once. What are my chances? What ACT score would I have to get to be a "more solid" candidate? Please be honest but nice thank you so much in advance I appreciate it!! :)

Not sure about Loyola, but for UIUC it depends on your major. For engineering you need an ACT score of at least 30 and for business at least a 27. A solid ACT score for UIUC would be a 26/27. Also, are you instate or an URM? Those can substantially improve your odds of acceptance. Chance me por favor?

Chicago is a very high reach and I do not believe you have any shot at anything at the moment. if you could raise your ACT like 5 points, you could be good fits for the other 2 schools.

I ended up getting in to UIUC and didn’t apply to loyola! Thanks guys!
