<p>So it's been two weeks since I submitted my honors essay, and I've heard nothing back yet. Is this normal? </p>
<p>I know the website says they usually respond within 3 weeks, but they typically seem to respond sooner than the time limit they give. I read that another student had a 72-hour turn-around time on her essay. Should I be worried that they're deferring a decision on me or that they didn't get my essay?</p>
<p>Honestly, I know someone that’s been waiting 6 weeks. Just be patient. You can call to make sure they have your essay though…</p>

<p>I sent my app in about 3 weeks before I got in, if that’s any consolation…</p>
<p>My daughter was invited in December, but just got around to sending in her essay today. Hopefully the decision comes before March 31st.</p>
