the title is pretty self explanatory; is it possible to get into LSA and not get into Ross pre-admit?

yes (10 char)

Definitely. Most "realistic" pre-admit candidates get into LSA but not into Ross.

So ultimately you have nothing to lose by applying as a Ross pre-admit since you can still get into the LSA.

My son originally applied and was accepted to Kinesiology - (wants to go into sports mgmt, then law) - when he got the Ross Pre-Admit, he had to switch over to LSA.

^^Umm how about you not apply to Ross "just for the heck of it" and not increase the competition for the students who actually want to go there.

I doubt he applied for the heck of it... otherwise, he would have turned down the spot. I hope Ross receives many quality applications and gets the best students it can. It makes for a stronger class and better school.
