LSAC GPA

Hey guys,

I was wondering if law schools care more about your institution gpa or your lsac gpa. I took classes at my community college before undergrad, where I got pretty good grades, and my lsac gpa is consequently a good amount higher than my current institution gpa.

When law schools are ranked according to their attendees’ gpas and lsat scores, is it the lsac or institution gpa that is used? Or does it depend on who is doing the ranking? I feel like the schools would care more about the gpa that actually affects their ranking.

Thanks.

LSAC GPA is what gets printed on the LSAC app (and is what is used for rankings). So yeah, they care about it above all other grade calcs.
