LSE v Imperial in reputation/prestige for US,Australia,East Asia and Singapore?

Which of these universities has a better reputation and is most well known in these countries?

In terms of overall reputation, these two are miles behind HYPSM and oxbridge.
Therefore, they excel in their own field respectively. Hard to say which one is more prestigious.

How about which is generally more well known in the countries mentioned?

I would say LSE is slightly more well-known, because Wall Street is slightly more well-known than Silicon Valley.

My Nephew went to the London School of Economics and now has really good job as an analyst on Wall Street. I believe he started in the mid $70’s and has upsides. I thought that was pretty good right out of school. The only internship he had was in a bank branch located in a small resort town.

He is a smart kid, but not one of those exceptionally brilliant ones. I think his HS average was 3.8 give or take a point. He first went to American University in Washington DC, then he transferred to London.

A few things he has going for him: he is fit, dresses well, is well spoken and confident in his manner. When you speak to him, you don’t get the feeling you’re talking to a kid at all. He listens well and addresses his comments to what you actually said. Even when he disagrees with what you said, his response makes you feel like he is just trying to understand your position more completely, than actually disagreeing with you. Personally, I think those attributes are what landed him the job as much as his grades and education. I’d hazard a guess those attributes were more important than his grades and education. ;-)

Imperial is better known IMO
