LSP----confused.

I'm confused, if I applied to Steinhardt for their elementary school education major (its either elementary school or just education major, cant remember!) is there a chance I can get LSP-ed, or can you only get LSP if you applied CAS? Im just a little confused what LSP is all about. Can someone please explain? Im hoping I might get LSP rather then straight up rejected because really, i dont think my stats are good enough for NYU, but its was worth a shot at applying.

yes, applicants to steinhardt can get put in the liberal studies program. lsp consists of 8-11 gen ed liberal arts courses that students in the program must complete during their first two years at nyu. during that time, you can take classes in steinhardt (or any nyu school) as well, but you must take the lsp courses if placed in the program.

I wouldn’t assume you were placed in lsp yet though - I think NYU sends out acceptance and rejection letters in March and April?

im sure i will be rejected, but im just trying to give myself a little hope thinking MAYBE ill get into LSP

What’s the situation with Gallatin?

same for gallatin

most lsp students are from cas, only some students get lsp’d from gallatin or tisch

i applied to gallatin, and got into lsp instead. i got my letter a week ago. my friend got hers almost a month ago
