Last week I received my acceptance letter to LSP.
I was just wondering is LSP was similar to an honors program for NYU.

If anyone else was accepted please post.

Last week I received my acceptance letter to LSP.
I was just wondering is LSP was similar to an honors program for NYU.

no it's not an honors program.

but congrats! you can find more info about it on New York University

It is not an honors program. Basically, NYU can only accept a limited number of people to their college of arts and sciences. The rest are rejected. The school then chooses 1,000 of the most qualified "rejected" students to receive admission to LSP. In the program, you are basically just a member of a different school within NYU. Its just like being a student in Tisch or CAS. As a member of the 2 year program, you take designated classes, and then transfer into your major junior year. Its basically a gateway program into you major for students that were very close to gaining admission to CAS.

Don't take this as a bad thing though! NYU rejects somewhere around 30,000 students. To be one of the 1,000 that got accepted to LSP is an awesome thing.

There are some other 09'ers accepted into LSP (ED and in the last month) on this thread

Also, last year my daughter found a lot of other GSPers (previous name of the program) in an NYU GSP Facebook group.

Hey all,

Asking this for a friend..

She applied RD to CAS. Her app was pretty close to the deadline.

Are they still sending out notification for LSP?

Last year, my daughter received her notification towards the end of March.

I just got accepted to LSP today! I'm super excited.

Would you guys mind posting when you submitted your apps?

and congrats!

App submitted 12/31

App submitted on the day of the deadline

i submitted mine around the middle of december and got my LSP acceptance letter today
