Do students who are admitted into LSP have to spend their fist year away? Or do they HAVE TO go to Washington DC, Florence, or Paris? Can they go away another year instead of the first?
When you apply to LSP, you rank the options for freshman year campus (NYC, DC, Florence, Paris, London) starting with the one you prefer. But, this doesn’t guarantee you will get your first choice. For example, you might list NYC first, but get accepted to LSP in Florence. In this case you either go to Florence or decline NYU altogether. If you are accepted to LSP in another location you can go abroad junior year as well, but not as a replacement for freshman year (so it would be two years abroad in that case.)
@Aida thank you for the clarification!
Most people in LSP do get their first choice location so the majority stay in NYC their first year
