Well with any luck, we have tickets and will “self tour” LSU next month. We really just need our D to get a feel for the school and lay of the land so to speak. ~ May be a challenge with no students on campus, but we need to do our best.
We really like that all the facilities, etc are right on campus. We have heard great things.
We saw U of SC and it was lovely, but didn’t like that the football wasn’t right there. She is going for AT and don’t want her to worry about leaving campus for clinical, etc.
@Lacole03 LSU is an amazing campus. She will never encounter a school w more school sprit than LSU. Period.
We actually visited on MLK day last year and we self toured and it still showed very well.
Here are what I consider the highlights you should see:
The recreation center (and the LSU shaped lazy river)
The fraternity and sorority houses are near by and are simply beautiful (Greek life is pretty big down there).
The dorm I think she will be in (assuming she is in the same school as kinesiology majors) is called Cypress Hall. Maybe the nicest dorm I’ve visited (and ive done a lot of schools).
The stadium and the arena and Mike the Tiger!
The amphitheater- which is where a famous scene from Pitch Perfect was filmed.
You hit these spots… and you will be signing on the dotted line.
Try a Waffle House when u r down there (pecan waffles OMG) and try Raisin Canes for amazing chicken fingers (trust me). It’s a chain started by LSU students and store #1 is right off campus.
@Lacole03 I was too excited and didn’t read your message all the way through. My parents are military and pay taxes in Louisiana. So despite the fact that we currently reside in VA, we are Louisiana residents.
