@Lacole03 LSU is an open campus, I’m not sure what their policy is now due to COVID. I wouldn’t recommend traveling to the campus during this time, but if you would like to give admissions a call, they will tell you whether visitors are allowed.
Also I talked to Reslife about residential halls. I was told that if you put in for housing now, you will be right in the middle of the list and have a good chance of claiming a room. I put in for Cypress and I’m not sure when I’ll hear back, but if your daughter is looking for a roommate I definitely need one!
I submitted my housing preference on 2/23, but it was Mardi Gras Break during 2/24-2/28 so I’m guessing they didn’t look at my housing application during those times. I got an email on 3/5 saying I was accepted into the Engineering Residential College. It took me around 5 days to hear a response back so I’m kinda guessing it would be 5-7 days for you guys to hear a response back on your housing preference.
@Lacole03 Yes, that’s where I am. For now she can complete her roommate survey and join or create a roommate group. And like @Khng20 said we should be notified in the coming days about our eligiblity to reside in Cypress.
Was accepted into LSU about two hours ago. Very excited to get the ball rolling and im planning to stay in cypress. Also anyone who hasn’t heard back yet I HIGHLY recommend calling them. The lady I spoke too said I had a decision for a while but it just for some reason was never sent. Also she said the last wave of acceptances are currently being sent out in the next few days so that’s good to hear.
@jakepaluba12 I just screamed! Congratulations ?? I’m so happy the wait was worth it!
And yes, Cypress buddies!! Also make sure to follow @lsuclassof2024 and @lsutigers2024 on Instagram to get to know others who will be attending LSU with us!
