Son just got accepted!!! ??? We are so excited!!!
@Freshmom24 CONGRATULATIONS!!!
I’ve been checking like crazy. My midterm grades are being sent to them and I’m hoping my 4.0 GPA for the semester pulls me through. They asked for me to answer 3 questions and I don’t know if that means my chances are lowered significantly. I’m trying to stay hopeful.
Stay positive!!!
that happened d to me too! I had to answer 3 questions idk why
@Rosen1001 Hopefully this is a good thing. I have friends that applied to LSU last year and were all accepted after answering the questions… But I don’t know. I got an email that said to apply by tomorrow because priority consideration is filling up quick and this is the largest class on record. Scary because I applied a month ago for priority.
Fingers crossed for you Mkaylaj. I really hope you are accepted… and thank your family for its service. #louisianaproud
@Mkaylaj and @Rosen1001 I bet those 3 questions are to see who is really still interested in coming to LSU. Other colleges have asked my son for that even after accepted to gage interest. Then they can let those kids in first. Good luck to you both! I hope you hear soon!
@somemomma Thank you so much! LSU has been my dream college since my whole life. I got into Xavier, Loyola, and Tulane but this is the only college that really counts for me. Hopefully I get a decision, good or bad, soon.
It’s a YES for the Ogden Honor’s College! Son found out via email this afternoon; nothing in portal. He applied in October. We are SO excited!
LSU received all my documents on the 16th of January. When should I expect a decision?
@Schubby1 There’s no definite answer or rhythm to their admissions process. I submit my application a month or so ago. It’s just a waiting game
Should we be concerned if my daughter applied by the 12/15 deadline and still has not heard a word? Emails every day about what a great place it is, but no acceptance.
@jotvjo I applied during the same time and they sent a “More Information” email that asked for me to answer 3 questions. I don’t know what it means in terms of my chances of getting in but maybe sure you check your spam. People have reported emails being sent there. I hope she gets in!
Hmm, she didn’t get an email like that. I just checked her spam.
My mom called admissions today for a status update, and they are currently reviewing all applications in a cluster to come to a decision for each applicant by March. If that’s not nerve racking, I don’t know what is.
I applied on January 28th, 2020. My GPA and ACT score qualifies for LSU’s auto admission. Is there a chance that I might not get accepted?
It’s possible only because you applied “late”.
I asked on the LSU subreddit about it and people said I had a 100% chance of getting in. I’m asking here too for reassurance. I just hope they don’t count it as “late.”
@Khng20 Is LSU your first choice? A lot of colleges view the time the applicant applies as an indication of their interest in the University. Such as if you apply early, it shows that the college is high on your list. Where as if you apply later it may seem as if the college was an after thought. But I don’t think that’s entirely the case here since you applied before the February 15 deadline.
