What should I write about for the essay, can it be anything?
Also, what is the word limit? I have a ~600 word essay that I want to upload but i can’t fid any information on the essay portion.
I think it supposed to be around 500 words. I emailed before I applied and the essay can be on anything. Personally, I submitted my common app essay, which worked and meant I didn’t have to write another essay. When I emailed they said the essay can be on just about anything, the example he gave was how to tie your shoes, as long as it’s around 500.
my common app essay 650 words and idk if i can cut it down anymore, do u think thats ok?
@abelkoontzz - Generally, if the word limit is 500, that is what is expected. The Admissions Committee knows that a lot of people have the 650-limit common app essay on hand, but that’s not what they are asking for.
Actually, i got in touch with the admissions counsellor and she said the essay should be 500-700 words but tahnks for the info
