@Shumama No but i was eligible for 1st round. Can it be that my decision comes in the 2nd round?
@Ali163 dw bro, you’ll get in In Sha Allah!
and there arent many people who’re eligable just for the second round.(those who sat for the SAT in may)
So the first round applicants will continue to get decisions.
@Shumama dude you got in? you’re the netball player right? Really praying you get your decision soon. In Sha Allah!
@am291x actually I am worried too, just like @Ali163 'cos even FA applicants are receiving acceptance letters and @Ali163 and I were eligible for the first round. Are you sure we still have a chance? 'Cos I’d heard FA applicants receive acceptance after all non-FA applications are considered.
All i know is that Lums criteria is so messed up and all we can do is hope.I don’t get any of the First round or Second round and we don’t know what they prefer(SAT,O-level,A-level) and worst they’ve got the same auto-reply whatever you mail them. And when you call them, its like they don’t wanna talk and they’re cryptic af.Saying that,i hope i get in and see you guys in Sept
Almost the same case here.
Still waiting for my decision even though I applied for the first round since I had given Sat in oct.
Some of my friends with lower sat scores have got in and I am still waiting.
I know that feel.Gave SAT in Oct,Better SAT scores and grades than my friends and still nope…
@Ali163 No. No that can’t happen. Students who wont be selected in the First Round will not be considered again for the Second Round. But don’t worry you’ll get in. Your grades and SAT score is amazing. I don’t know what their criteria is atm, because they’re taking people who have SAT score of 1400!
@am291x Not yet. They’ll start sending acceptances to students who applied for second round (I did too) in June.
And thanks!
For all of those who applied in the first round and still haven’t gotten a reply, dont worry! Lums has just released firsst round of offers for self paid and aid students. There will be more rounds so prayy @Shumama @Ali163 @icarus6 @securedprofile
Hey guys. I got 7 As 2 A*s in O levels and 3 As 1 B in AS level. unfortunately my SAT score was really bad. I got 1660. what are my chances?
@ka02345 I guess this year lums isn’t giving that much importance to sat scores. However, I haven’t heard of anyone yet who got in with a score below 1700. I think lums requires 6As or above for olevels so you’ve passed that category so you still have a chance…Plus they’ve only released the first round of offers for self paid and financial aid students so many more to come inshaAllah!
@rt1326 people with a score of 1490 got in lums. A guy with a score of 1510 also received an acceptance letter.
@Shumama Ohh thanks for informing
@Shumama did they have really good O level and A level grades?
Yes they did. However, atm one cannot really decide what lums criteria is. This guy is waiting to get accepted and he has over 8 As in his O levels and received 4 As and 2 B’s in his A levels. His sat score is 2080.
Then there are others who got in with a score of 1510 1700 and even 1410. They must have impressive grades but so does this guy?
@Shumama Yeah I absolutely agree. No idea what they’re looking at…
maybe they’re looking for the ‘chosen one’, but they have no idea who it is. So they just let in an academically electic group of people hoping that thay find him/her.
I’ll tell you what we at the JT counseling department think. If a fellow is averaging an A overall in his/her O-level grades, he/she will most likely become competitive with a 1600+. People averaging a B overall in their O-level will have to hit a higher SAT score. We estimate that 1800+ will make them competitive. We estimate that next year, 1800+ scores would be considered good scores for LUMS.
You are not the first person to say that, and assuming what you think is correct, I still can not understand why some candidates with a weaker profile are getting their decisions first and alot of them still havent recieved theirs.
So do any of you know whether the 2nd round is finished cause I haven’t heard of any new admission for the past 3-4 days. And what about the next round(hopefully)?
