Anyone ever heard of it? I like the school, but I can't get past the fact that it's a really small school that no one's ever heard of. Tell me that I'm being stupid. Is it that important for the future (getting a good job, getting into grad school, etc.) to go to a school that's well known and recognized?
I'm deciding between this school and Penn State (well a branch campus of Penn State and then transferring to main campus my junior year)..and I'm leaning toward Penn State because everyone knows it. Is that a stupid reason?

Lycoming is well known in certain places, but not nationally known. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't go there. I can't imagine two more different schools than Penn State and Lycoming. Would you really be happy at one, if you could also be happy at the other? If you honestly like both schools, I would choose PSU, since your courses of study are unlimited and it is well known. But if you prefer small school atmospheres, and Lycoming offers what you want to study, Lycoming is a good choice. I know of several Lycoming grads at senior positions in financial firms, so they must have a good business program, at least.
