m.e. in binghamton?

hey everyone. is it a good choice to take m.e. at bing?

Maybe I'm stupid, but.. does that mean mechanical engineering?

yea, mechanical engineering. is it a good choice?

Dear wootpk: I have it on good authority that ME at Bing is a good (although relatively small) program. I have helped to hire and worked with a number of Bing ME graduates over the last 10 years or so and I've been quite satisfied, even impressed, with their training. If I were you I wouldn't hesitate to choose it. The only concern I have is how all the SUNY programs may suffer over the next four years due to likely funding reductions. My son has been considering Bing for CS and the faculty there expressed concern over reductions in new equipment purchases, etc. But this may be more or less a problem at many schools in the near future.

I am also wondering about mechanical engineering at BU. BU doesn't rank in the top 100 in USNWR.

The engineering program at Binghamton is decent. It is not ranked nationally so its not "known" for engineering.

Is it really that strenuous to type out MECHANICAL ENGINEERING? Jesus.
