I currently have a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and I got admission into a M.S. program for the fall in Chemical Engineering. I am going back to industry after I graduate from grad school and pursue an MBA (down the road). I am just wondering, since I am not pursuing research/PhD, would an M.Eng be a better program? I have a (potential) job lined up after grad school, so how will my employer view the M.Eng degree? Would it be equivalent to a M.S. degree in there eyes?

What is the difference? Is the MS more research focused compared to the M. Eng? I am sure it depends on the job you want.

MS is more research based and M.Eng is course/project based. I want to get into industry, work a couple of years (6-7 yrs) and pursue a managerial/technical lead role. I’m not interested in R&D.
