ahhh… plz dont think of me as stupid all something, but wut exaclty is an electric cooler or at least wut difference does it have with a fridge?

^an actual electric cooler you can usually buy at camping stores and is basically a rechargeable insulating cooler. I sort of meant a fridge, [“electric cooler”= fridge], but I was actually considering buying one of these for my room, as it’s less expensive than a fridge and I’m not sure which dorm I’ll be in next year [so I don’t know whether or not that’s a rule I can bend].

as an upperclassman, i would recommend not bending the rules, especially as a new student. senior year and privileges like fridges come quickly enough. if you feel like for some reason you can’t use the dorm fridge then go all out and get a doctor’s note so you’re not violating any rules. you want to be on dorm parents’ good side seen as they control a good portion of your life for nine months a year, so don’t try to hide a fridge like some people do!

no fridge for me then

and when did y’all get your new student registration stuff in august if so how late.

I got some pre-school things sometime in August, I don’t quite remember. I just got my Laundry signup info [not doing it again] though, so I suppose whatever you haven’t gotten yet should be coming soon [though it might help if I knew what you were waiting on].

What exactly are the things we are expecting to recieve in August?
and btw, do most people do their own laundry or use the laundry service (is it any good?)?

there is no way im not getting the laundry service, its not an issue of not being able to do, its simply im too lazy and i dont have time cause i’m going to be running back and forth between club soccer and MX in the spring

yeah i had it this year. it was nice, but it was too expensive and not worth it.

okay it makes sense for my anyway or else id be wearing a lot of dirty clothes

at there is a dress code for boys right collared shirts
but what can you get away with

there’s really not much you can get away with with the boys’ dress code [besides the odd person who wears a t-shirt or jeans and hopes no one calls them out on it]. collared shirt or sweater’s about all you can do. of course the girls’ dress code is much more easily bent.

okay does like a l.l. bean fleece count as a sweater ?

yep harty harr harr

thank god ill be wearing one everyday during the fall and winter

ok you do that.

are you excited?

yeah of course i am, i have the preseason camp on cape cod in a couple of weeks which should be sick

wait how did you make harty harr harr seem almost invisible

that sounds awesome. lol girls’ preseason is in to ottawa, how sad is that? but preseasons look fun. my roomie went to disney world for tennis preseason last spring break… i was very very jealous.

anyway, hope you like middlesex! or can at least pick yourself up in the morning and put something other than a grimace on your face. haha

whatever you want to be almost invisible here

^just like that

dont worry ill be be just fine haha

how was your transition to MX

pretty easy, but with a few bumps like everyone else. i think it was easier for me than most because we had moved to a different country about a year before and i didn’t really have many friends to tie me down to “home,” [and hadn’t done the best job of keeping in touch with my friends from my actual home] so i jumped right into middlesex. at this point, i love the school immensely and am quite attached to it.

so i got the student packet in the mail today

and they haven’t sorted out the dorms and stuff
yet they assigned me an advisor Ms. Darby ?

can anyone offer me any insight into what she is like

thanks
