m&t email

Did anyone other m&t applicants get an email that has more information about the m&t program?

-Personally, I think it’s pretty odd, since we will be getting decisions in one week; we already know what the program is about – we applied there!

Yeah, I just got that e-mail too. A little weird, but oh well.

I haven't received that email....maybe it means you got accepted to M &T...

Has anyone else received this email?

I receive lots of M&T email

JCoveney, aren't you already at Penn? I'm talking about applicants to the M&T program...

ok, I'm really concerned now, if we haven't received that email, does that mean that we haven't made it into the M&T program?

crazy88, if I were you, I wouldn't worry too much about it. I doubt it's an indication of anything.

can you post the text of the email?

I'd say you're pretty safe: The letter is very general. Besides, my M&T essays sucked - I wrote them the day that they were due - and I know it is an extremely competitive program.

We understand you have applied to The Jerome Fisher Program in Management & Technology at the University of Pennsylvania . As Administrative Director of the program, I am happy to write you today with additional information about the M&T Program.

M&T students graduate from Penn with two distinct degrees?a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The Wharton School and either a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a Bachelor of Applied Science from Penn Engineering.

One of the benefits of such a unique program is that you have many opportunities available to you. The Wharton School currently offers more than 20 concentrations, and a number of M&T students choose to complete double concentrations (e.g., Finance and Management. To learn more about the concentrations that are available, visit: <a href="http://undergrad.wharton.upenn.edu/concentrations/%5B/url%5D">http://undergrad.wharton.upenn.edu/concentrations/</a>. Similarly the Penn Engineering offers many choices, with more than 15 degree options. Learn more about degree options here: <a href="http://www.seas.upenn.edu/under/degreep.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.seas.upenn.edu/under/degreep.html</a>. The M&T website (<a href="http://www.upenn.edu/fisher%5B/url%5D">http://www.upenn.edu/fisher</a>) will also provide you with more detail specifically about the M&T Program.

M&T students are extremely active in the Penn community. Many participate in the numerous clubs, sports teams and other activities available to students; a number hold positions of leadership. The Undergraduate Admissions website has information about student life at Penn (<a href="http://www.admissionsug.upenn.edu/life)%5B/url%5D">http://www.admissionsug.upenn.edu/life)</a>. Please take a moment to explore the opportunities that are available; you are sure to find something that interests you.

M&T students have always been highly successful in finding an exciting internship, that important first job, or pursuing an advanced degree. In recent years, M&T students have been the recipients of a number of prestigious awards to pursue graduate study. The Gates-Cambridge Scholarship, for example, is awarded to 50 graduating students across the country each year to support graduate study in a field of their choice at Cambridge University . In recent years 3 M&T students have won this outstanding award! M&T students are standouts at Penn and beyond.

I encourage you to contact the M&T Office to learn more about the program and to ask any questions you might have?whether it's by e-mail, by phone, or an actual visit to Penn. I will be happy to talk with you personally about any aspect of the M&T program or Penn. Current M&T students will be available to talk with you about their experience as well. We feel strongly that the best way to learn about what it's like to be an M&T student is to talk to a current student.

Thank you for expressing your interest in The Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology.

It's odd because they are try to sell the program to us while we already applied. I can only pray that it's a good sign, though.

Its kinda funny though that they sent this email out today, a week before decisions are coming out....I think it has to be some sort of indication. Furthermore, why didn't anyone else get it, did you guys do something to request the information? I got a letter way back in February about this, did you get a letter similar to this previously?

Nope - perhaps that is why.

I dont send in anything extra.

my letter discussed them forwarding my application to the M & T program and things as such and told me to visit these websites, but I have not recieved the email. Did you receive the Green Card? I didn't receive that...

sorry if I sound like an idiot, i'm just really nervous, as Penn is my top choice, M&T especially...

I received the green card - but I never got an email stating they are fowarding my application to M8T. It only stated that they received the application and went over the admissions process.

so, is this the first M & T specific communication you have received ?

My letter through snail mail said if I wasnt selected for M&T it would be forwarded to my single degree college.

This is the first m&t email i have received.

What did u get?

mine talked about the application being forwarded to the M & T office and stuff

I'm just wondering why only two people on this board have received this email?
