When I signed up for M408D during orientation, I had to choose one of the classes that had no professor listed. Well, now my class finally has a professor listed, Chavez-Dominguez. I was wanting to know what kind of professor he/she is, a good one? Not a good one? The other professors whose classes are still available are Shirley and Kalahurka. How are these professors? Thanks.

Hey, any information will be greatly appreciated.

I’m not sure about any of them but I’d check the Course Instructor Survey results. You can access them from UTDirect -> Academics.

I took M 408D last spring and I don’t think that any of those teachers taught M 408D in the spring. I’d say check myEDU and Rate My Professor.

Thanks for the help. I looked them up, and I guess that Chavez-Dominguez is new because I could not find him/her. Overall, how was the course, for the professors that you had.

mas213, I had a pretty wonderful professor and the class was not that hard. I just had to make sure that I did my homework properly… the test was then real easy.

It started off with Sequences and Series which was probably the hardest topic on average for most students in the class. Most of the students then thought that the class flowed a lot smoother after. The teacher always curved so it didn’t feel like it mattered if the topic appeared harder or not because the teacher would either curve accordingly or set the difficulty of the test accordingly. Nothing in the class, including sequences in series, gave me too much trouble. Just like all math classes, go in for tutoring or office hours if you need help. If you understand most of your homework then you are probably fine. The textbook will occasionally have a few tough or weird questions that likely won’t show up on your test.

Anyone have classes with Um Ko? I am choosing my M408L teacher,at myedu it does not appear any reccomendation for her, instead I can took John Meth but it seems that there is a large proportion of people who failed this class
