<p>Should my son retake the SAT once more?</p>
<p>Above is the breakdown of his score, and though he is not satisfied with his CR score, he wants to just take ACT this fall rather than taking the SAT again. His PLAN score was 31 without any studying at all so he thinks he could manage a much higher score with some preparation.</p>

<p>He probably needs a higher CR score for those schools, unless he has a hook or is a recruited athlete. Taking the ACT may be a good alternative if he doesn’t feel that he can improve his CR score to 700+.</p>
<p>Thanks for a quick response… Maybe he should take a practice test for the ACT and see how he does it and then decide…</p>
<p>I would suggest retaking since they want to see relative consistency</p>
