<p>Hi everyone,</p>
<p>I'm a rising senior at a second tier UC. I'm specifically interested in getting a masters in security studies. I've looked at a few programs and MIT and Georgetown are definitely at the top of my list. But I'm not sure if my app is good enough, so I want to field opinions whether my choices are reachable right out of undergrad prof I should wait a few years after working, or if I'm missing anyprograms.</p>

<p>Research:
- research subject for a phd dissertation
- research assistant for history dept head my sophomore year
- UROP grant for poli sci paper on social media and revolutions, presented at research symposium. In process of getting published. </p>
<p>Work: Working part time since freshman year. Currently serving an internship at the Department of Defense now till December (fall quarter through ucdc)</p>
<p>Letters of Rec:
History Dept Head - has been my mentor since freshman year </p>
<p>Research Advisor - took one class with her, later became my research advisor. </p>
<p>Poli Sci professor: I have a really good, close relationship with all 3 of my professors. </p>
<p>Assistant Director for Undergrad studies. Took two classes with him and excelled. He's my poli sci mentor.</p>
<p>Could also get a rec from one of my bosses at the dod.</p>
