I know that College Algebra is an online course and that I need certain access codes with the book, the whole package at the UF bookstore and at other places online is around $160. I found one at Chegg to rent for a much cheaper price, my question is if i buy a used or rental book will it not come with the access codes and therefore I will have just wasted money anyway? Do I have to buy a brand new package for this class?

I can’t speak for college algebra, but for chem, calc, and bio, I was able to get used books and then just purchase the access code separately from the website.

You just bought the purchase code from the websites? I have pearson as my publisher and I can’t figure out where I would purchase the code.

You’ll be given the website when the class begins and you can purchase it then. You can pay with a credit card and it becomes available instantly. I Google Pearson online college algebra and mymathlab.com came up. I don’t know if that’s what you’ll use or not though.
