Macaulay Hunter Interview?

Hi! I just got sent an email stating that I passed the first round of admissions and that the next step of the process is an interview. Are interviews at Macaulay’s Hunter mandatory? Will my application be voided if I cannot attend an interview? If I do not attend the interview, will I be at a disadvantage in comparison to the the other applicants who attend?

Also, does anyone know what they question you about during the macaulay’s interview? I get really nervous in situations like these and like to kinda prepare answers ahead of time to have some thoughts already so if i get nervous my mind doesn’t go blank! The email said it’s an interview “with the macaulay’s committee” so does that mean its going to be a group of interviewers or just a one on one interview. Also, how long do the interviews usually last for?

Lastly, Does anyone know the rate of acceptance when receiving an interview? My stats are kinda low for macaulay’s but they still wanted to interview me! I was wondering if anyone knew if once you received an interview you are basically in or your still in a huge pool of people! Please let me know

Lol it’s no big deal. It’s an adult who works there and a student. It’s really casual they do ask questions tho but it’s really a discussion and they make u feel really calm. Don’t worry

Mine was like 6-8 minutes I think. Idk if that’s a good sign I felt like I was rlly awkward

My interview last year was by 2 students. They were chill. Have some questions to ask them. It’s way more relaxed and shorter than an interview for an Ivy League or other school like that if you’ve been on any of those.

Also the interview doesn’t mean all that much it seems at least in me and my friends cases. I got waitlisted. My frends and a few classmates got rejected. Only one girl in my whole school got accepted. So there’s still a somewhat big pool because we ALL got interviews lol.
