MacBook Pro price cuts: $300

Looks like equipment levels went up and prices went down.

what the hell apple?!?!?!

i just bought the 13 in aluminum macbook… for the same price as the new 15 in macbook pro

More like: you mean you don’t look at the internet and thus don’t know that WWDC happens in June and that Apple introduces products and changes prices then? It’s been in every news source for weeks. That said, if you check, you might be able to get a rebate on the price if the purchase was recent.

Yeah, people on some Mac forums are getting mad about how they just bought MacBooks, and then this happens. While it was not definite that they’d update, surely waiting couldn’t have hurt. (Hell, I’m glad I waited!)

Now, the exact same configuration MacBook (I guess now it’s a Pro) that I was going to buy is $150 cheaper. Plus it has a SD slot, faster processor, backlit keyboard, and yet another screen update. Not bad.

Computer prices go down and you get more. That happens everywhere. We have 3 MacBook Pros from previous generations. We’re happy with the systems and I expect to be using mine five years from now. Would I like a new one? Sure. Can I justify it? No way.

You make a deal for a product that you agree to pay for. You were happy then and you’re not happy now? Maybe Apple will give you a rebate or credit on the difference if it was recent. If you feel this way about computers, you’re going to feel a lot worse about cars.

Same here, glad I did my research and waited for WWDC.

I was hoping for them to update the iPods, too, but I guess they’re waiting for ~September.
