In the Common Application I signed the wrong name for the FERPA Release Authorization! I signed my college counselor’s name because he sent an example form so I just copied what he had written. So now I can’t edit the Release Authorization and it has the signature of the wrong person! I emailed my counselor and told him what happened and he said to just hope nobody notices. But what if someone does notice??
Then you explain it. If they need you to then, it is probably possible to print a copy, sign it correctly, and fax or mail to whoever wants it. No worries – people make much bigger and more noticeable mistakes than this.
Thank you so much for responding, you’ve calmed me so much!
Try emailing Common App support to see if the FERPA Agreement can be reopened.
