so anyone else finished the essay and sent it in with the supp, app, and payment 2 mins before the deadline? post here to tell everyone your story

wow 2 min before is a lucky get. I was rushing last night at 9pm and did not anticipate that it would take a couple of hrs to submit 7 applications, supplements and payments because the site was being slow.

the application went in 2 minutes after deadline...
retarded laptop got a hangover..
Supplement went in yesterday!

I submitted my UVA app at 11:40PM. Nothing special really.

so common app has eastern time and when i submitted my application on 11:15 central time, they counted it as jan 3rd as opposed to jan 2nd. is this a problem??

no, 99% of colleges will still accept it if it is within a few hours of the deadline.

It's past the deadline, fivewinks. That's for sure. It shouldn't a problem, but trust me, it annoys the hell out of the adcoms.

Duke and Pomona are in, I am so happy that CMC extended their deadline!!!!

haha i hate it when people here tell you that when you missed the deadline it's nothing to worry about... like they're in a position to tell you something like that w/ a degree of certainty... oh well at least it calms you down + most of the time admissions offices are understanding of things like that

Why doesn't everyone just spend a little time planning things? It's not like you have to get it in early, but 2 minutes before? Geez.

yeah im retarded i planned my time nice with all my other colleges but for cornell i left it to last minute, the supplement i submitted at maybe 11:58 and it says it was downloaded, but the actual commonapp application i submitted at like 12:01 lol so its 1/3 obviously, anyone else do the same thing? my application was still submitted and not rejected thank god lol but im still somewhat nervous

There was a NYTimes article about the Common App slow-down, I think. Pretty interesting stuff.

do you know if its still online?
