Madison acceptence---UMN waitlist?

<p>I was accepted as a transfer student at UW a few months ago (the decesion was made within a month). As a safety, or just to keep my options open, I applied to UMN-Twin Cities' College of Liberal Arts a few weeks later, just after Xmas break. Not only do they withhold a decision until April 12th (nearly 3 months later), they freakin' waitlisted me. The average ACT for College of LA @ Minnesota is a full 3 points lower than Madison, and the 25%-75% class rank percentiles are about 10 to 15 points lower than UW.</p>

<p>What gives? I mean, come on Minnesota, I know you're trying to improve your image but who are you kidding? Madison accepts me and you don't? Huh?</p>

<p>Yeah, I have a feeling I got rejcted at UIUC because I sent them my Wisconsin-Madison essays!</p>

<p>I don't recall Minnesota asking for an essay...</p>

<p>They do ask for one, I filled out the online application and there was space for an essay.</p>
