Magoosh? Prep Scholar?

Hey guys. I want to study and I reallyyyyy don’t have the will to self-study without someone teaching me something. At least for reading which is the section I need to most help on. Which online SAT course would you recommend? Or with that, which one wouldn’t you recommend because you didn’t like it? There’s Magoosh, prep scholar and courses like those. I am not too sure of others. ASAP responses!

You’re impatient and it shows. The next SAT isn’t until August. You need to slow down and not expect immediate results. I suggest you get an official SAT study guide, or print your own tests at home from the College Board website. Use Khan Academy, as it might be the “live” guidance you need. Read carefully and think about main ideas. Answer choices that don’t reflect main ideas are usually wrong.

As for blogs, both the ones you mentioned can be helpful.

Once you’ve printed your tests or got the official study guide, do a couple of tests without timing, to get used to the format and question types. Introduce timing slowly, perhaps on a couple of passages initially. Keep increasing the numbers of timed passages, but be sure to make your corrections before moving on to new passages or new tests. Ideally, you should be asking someone to correct for you so you can try to figure out where you went wrong. Then you can check your new answers so that you learn from your mistakes. Good luck.
