Mail

My parents sent mail from Northern California two weeks ago (Saturday) and it hasn't arrived. I gave the address and box number on the yellow sheet that says the lock combination. I checked the front desk and they checked the surrounding boxes.

What should I do about it?
Should I wait longer?

Thanks,
Charles

Housing tends to be extremely slow with mail for some reason. It took me more than a week to receive a mail from Norcal as well. Try checking the with the mailroom receptionist. Sometimes they received the mail but haven't put them in the mailboxes.

Is there a private PO Box near you? My son had similiar problems at another large school so he rented a PO Box at one of those storage/shipping stores that handles all of his mail and accepts all packages. They have more favorable hours than the dorm people did and he can move in and out of dorms and apartments throughout his college years without changing addresses. I think it costs about $10.00 per month. My son says it has been very convenient. Hope you find your mail soon!

I got a letter from my friend at Berkeley in 2 days.

thanks everyone; it's still not here, but I shall keep on checking with the receptionist

my netflix dvds comes in like a day after they ship

They told me that it should be here by now and that it may have been mixed up in the mail of a different dorm. I hope that's the case.

But if not, would anyone know the best way to get to the social security administration?
