Mailed-in Teacher Recs

Ah! So the common application is weird this year, because it requires that we add two teachers online before we could submit our app online. But I gave my teachers envelopes, so they sent it in by mail early last week. And when I checked the status of my application on commonapp.org, it said that my school forms were not submitted. Do you think it's just because there's a lag due to the massive amount of mail yale must be getting, or did I do something wrong? Should I ask my teachers to submit another rec online, or should I just wait for Yale to process the letters they sent in by mail?

Thanks!!

Wait until Yale processes it on your ELI account. I did the same thing... my teachers prefer to mail their letters of rec in.

I also submitted my teacher and counselor recs via snail mail. I think the ELI website said that it won't process your recs until Nov. 15th.

Wait, I needed to add teachers online? Where was that?

It was under "School Forms"... Were you able to submit the commonapp online without adding two teacher?

Oh, my school forms were mailed in, including the teacher recs.

I wasn't able to submit the commonapp online before adding two teachers and a counselor...if you're mailing in the recs, you can just intruct them to ignore the e-mails that they receive.

thanks countryangel926! that was the answer i needed.
