Mailing deadline

<p>Hi everyone,</p>

<p>I have a question about the deadline (btw, I'm applying RD). I am authorized to send the letters of recommendation and secondary school report, stuffs that should be sent by my teachers, to MIT (actually this is the way people in my country work; students have to do things on their own). I also have a peer assessment letter from my friend, and want MIT to read it. The postmark deadline of the application is Jan 1st. In this case, do I have to send all of them before the deadline?</p>

<p>Anything that is required must be postmarked by Jan 1. You could send it on Jan 1, if you needed to.</p>

<p>Anything that is not required (supplemental material) should be sent as early as possible, and definitely before mid-January.</p>
