<p>Having just started my main essay for the common app, I was wondering how I should format it. Should I keep it just as a title separated by one line from the single-spaced blob, or should I take it to full, MLA-throttle with the header consisting of my name and date, the title, and everything-in-all-its-glory double-spaced?</p>

<p>There’s no need to put your name or date on the essay. Other than that, single/double space however you like. This isn’t that difficult.</p>
