I indicated that I wanted to be study political science on my commonapp but now I'm not 100% sure if that is the way I want to go (I think i wrote undecided underneath it). What are the chances I can declare a different major once at tufts?

your major is NOT declared, and you don’t have to declare it until the end of your sophomore year. What you indicated on your common app has no effect whatsoever on what you study at Tufts.
Come here, take classes in poli.sci and other areas, and relax. You still have over two years to decide!

Yep. You have until registration time sophomore year to declare, I think. Which was…yesterday for sophomores. So you would be all fine :)

And literally, all it takes is a signature (maybe 2) to declare. Tufts makes it very easy to switch. You could have put History with a concentration in African-American Underwater Basketweaving as your major and if you wanted to declare a physics/math double major, all you would need would still be two signatures: one from each new advisor.
