Major in Advertising or Graphic Design at UF?

Hi!
I am currently in community college with a 3.9 GPA. I will be applying after next semester for either Advertising or Graphic Design. I can't decide which one I want.
My dream job would be in the Graphic Design field, but I feel like an Advertising degree would give me a broader range of job opportunities when I graduate. Plus, the Advertising major from what I've seen, offers a lot of creative design courses, similar to the Graphic Design major.
Both programs are limited access. The Graphic Design program only admits 18 juniors every Fall semester, and then the Advertising major has only 500 spots.
Advertising would be easier to get into, obviously, but Graphic Design is my passion. Which degree would be more worth it?
The Graphic Design degree requires 8 pre-professional courses for transfer students, while the Advertising requires only 5. I don't want to waste my time and take 8 pre-professional courses for Graphic Design and then end up not getting in.
Anyone have any experience in these majors, or know anyone that has majored in these programs at UF before? Thank you!
