Major in Art with Minor in Marketing Possible?

Hello All,

I want to transfer to UC Berkeley. I'd like to major in Art with a minor in Marketing.

I am currently attending a local community college and have only taken business courses so far (about 26 units).

If you have a similar story or can help me out with info or even let me know if this is a reasonable goal, I would appreciate it!

thank you.

drop

Does Cal offer a minor in marketing? Do they let people take business classes through Hass School of Business if they are not in the program? If not, you might be able to minor in Economics there- that is where the people who do not get into Haas end up. You can make your own major at Cal by majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies(?) and creating your own program that includes art and certain business/economics classes. You have to create a thread that ties everything together. Berkeley has a Fine Art major and an Art Practice major. Check their catalogue for details and, if you can, go up to Berkeley and visit a couple of art classes to see how you like them.

Cal doesnt have marketing as a major or minor. u can develop ur own major thru IS like hidingout said above.

Thank you for your responses! This really helps a lot.
