My school offers a BS.c in Earth and Environmental science and i am highly interested in this field. more specific climatology and anything to do with other planets climates in our solar system and beyond. I am choosing between this major and a microbiology major if i decide i want to go premed. Would i be able to get a Masters of Science in climatology after a bachelors in earth and environmental science? Is this a good and growing field? Good major?
It’s an emerging field, especially with the new focus on a green earth and the newfound importance of environmental preservation and protection. At the moment, a majority of these careers and jobs are government jobs. Though, there are also private sector jobs such as environmental consulting and management.
climatology is a much more niche and smaller field. However, it too, has its applications in predicting weather patterns for flight and for managing air quality and probably is most used in the law and regulation making processes.
