I am considering in majoring in Finance and minoring in Accounting at Mays so I can have a more diverse business background for the careers I am interested in: Financial Analyst, Investment Banker
I am curious about the workload that I will have and whether I can maintain a high GPA, as I also want to try external transfer to Mccombs.
Also, I would like to know any info or opinion about how firms/companies view applicants from Mays, as from several forums, research, and friends the general consensus is that Mays does have the Aggie Network, but doesn’t have the prestige and level of recognition that Mccombs has.
I am concerned for my future and I want to make the best of my undergrad degree so I can compete against others in this in these two respected but highly competitive jobs. Thanks for the advice.
I’d try to make an appointment and talk to someone in the college’s career placement to see how students from the program fare in terms of job placement. As to the workload at the school I suggest you talk to current students there.
