I'm thinking of going to grad school /Seoul national university/ majoring in korean language & literature. The main reason why I chose SNU is its recognition i thought somehow it could be a great stepping stone into international ivy league colleges and uni.s if i ever wanted to go further and get Phd since my undergrad grade transcript and the school that i went is not impressive at all. But for about the major , i've got to admit that since i'm going to Seoul /SNU/ i thought i should take something that has to do with korean , i thought that would make more sense than me going to Seoul national university to study french , you know what i mean? However that was not the main factor that concluded my choice of major, as long as i can remember i've had a quite a lot of interest in foreign languages , it was a thrill to learn a new language it was challenging and rewarding. For now i'm pretty fluent in English /it isn't my first language/ little bit of turkish & chinese. And I have plans to learn spanish & french in the future. To be frankly speaking korean language itself doesn't interest me as much as spanish or french, but its not something that I lack any interest of so why not? So here's the question what should i do after getting my masters in korean language & literature? I was thinking of professor/lecturer/instructor in korean language & culture at a higher educational field, but it seems that i will need Phd in order to be able to do that. I'm also looking into careers with United Nations.
Advice please?

Generally, you only need a PhD if you intend to become a professor. You can lecture with an MA, as far as I know.

re UN - there are many divisions within the UN. What division are you thinking of? I suppose a Korean lit degree could help you get a job working specifically with Korea, but for UN, a development-related degree coupled with relevant internships in the field would be more beneficial.
