For the purposes of this post, a “science” refers to bio, Chem, physics, biomed, biochem, etc. I haven’t decided which I’m taking yet but that’s not the point of this post.
I’m going into pre-med and I’ve decided that I want to take a science, management, and Greek/Latin Lang/lit (just Greek if minor). But I can’t decide which ones I should minor/major in.
I am not opposed to double majoring if necessary but I would prefer to double minor to avoid the workload. Any advice?
Sounds like too much, especially being pre-med.
You can explore interests without majoring in them. A couple of feasible combinations:
-Management/business major, pre-med, take some classes in Greek
-Biology/biochemistry major, pre-med, take some coursework in management and maybe some in Greek or Latin
-Biochem/bio/chem/physics major, management minor, pre-med
-Biochem et al major, Greek minor, pre-med, take some management courses if you can fit them in
And so on. Basically, if you are pre-med you should pick one major, maybe one minor, and then the rest of your interests should be taken as electives as time permits.
Yeah I guess I see your point, considering premed requires extra classes. I think I’ll major management & just take some courses in Greek since fluency is more important than a minor in languages. Thanks!
